The craftsmanship of the Palmetto Roses date back to the Civil War. Palmetto roses are created from the Palmetto Palm Tree fronds and are a recognizable art and Gullah-Geechie tradition in Charleston.

NOTE: Roses are crafted when the fronds are green and naturally dry to a light brown color. Therefore, they may arrive green or light brown. The size of the palm frond determines the rose size in addition to the artisan's crafting method.
